Google is seeking a security operations leader to collaborate with Facilities Management, investigate breaches, and craft risk assessments for the future. You will oversee the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) 24/7, addressing a broad threat landscape including insider risk and workplace violence.
The role focuses on operational excellence, technology, and building capable teams to defend Google’s enterprise while maintaining strong customer service and confidentiality.
Security is at the core of Google's design and development process: it is built into the DNA of our products. The same is true of our offices. You're an expert who shares our seriousness about security and our commitment to confidentiality. You'll collaborate with our Facilities Management team to create innovative security strategies, investigate breaches and create risk assessment plans for the future. You believe that providing effective security doesn't come at the expense of customer service - you will be our bodyguard (and our long lost pal).
The Global Security Operations Center is GSRS's 24/7 ecosystem for intake, triage, management and escalation of physical security incidents and threats.
The GSOC actively manages an incredibly broad and volatile threat landscape. This includes responding to Regional conflict, Tier 1 Events, navigating disruption from geopolitical instability and external actors like protest and direct action. Internally, our focus is hardening against insider risk, workplace violence and the rising cases of concerning behavior and complex needs among vulnerable Googlers.
The GSOC is committed to a future as an industry standard SOC organization, cementing our role as the central coordination function for all GSRS Operations. We execute this goal through operational excellence, technology, mature programs and fielding the best people GSRS has to offer. Leadership, competence and adaptability drive our strategy, and enable GSOC to meet the evolving threat and the demands of the enterprise.
