Job summary

HireHi seeks a senior security engineering leader to own detection, automation, and incident response for Europe. You will act as the primary Incident Commander and drive follow-the-sun handoffs across teams.

You will collaborate with Security and Engineering to advance SOAR capabilities, expand tooling, and enforce robust incident responses, with semi-regular travel to the USA to align with HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in security engineering, with 7+ years in detection or response.
• Experience building detections, automation, or security tooling.
• Strong incident commander experience and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain production-quality detections, automations, and data pipelines.
• Develop global SIRT/SOC tooling for alert quality and case-management integrations.
• Serve as the Incident Commander for Europe and lead security responses.
• Shape technical direction of detection and response engineering.
• Lead end-to-end security incident responses and post-mortems.
• Investigate threats and hunt for anomalies.
• Collaborate with Security and Engineering, Legal, HR, and partners.
• Travel to the USA to align with HQ and leadership.
