Job summary

Pantheon, the WebOps platform for websites, seeks a Senior Security Engineer, SecOps, to lead detection, response, and resilience at scale. You will own the security operations roadmap, mentor engineers, and partner across Engineering, Infrastructure, GRC, and executives.

You will define incident response playbooks, drive automation, and ensure GDPR/NIS2 compliance while aligning with Pantheon’s values and openness to open-source communities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of information security experience with 7+ years in security operations including detection engineering and incident response.
• Experience architecting and operating enterprise-grade SIEM/SOAR at scale.
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND with translation into detection logic.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive a multi-year SecOps roadmap including detection engineering, incident response, and threat intelligence.
• Lead architecture of SecOps toolchain and integrate platforms for long-term scalability.
• Own incident response playbooks, runbooks, severity frameworks, and post-incident reviews.
• Build and operate threat intelligence capability from internal telemetry, commercial feeds, ISACs, and open sources.
• Architect and deliver scalable automation across alert triage, enrichment, investigation, and response.
• Ensure GDPR, NIS2 compliance and engage with GRC/Legal on audit and contractual requirements.
• Drive vulnerability management, exposure reduction, and abuse monitoring strategies.
• Lead business resilience activities including tabletop exercises and red team collaboration.
• Mentor engineers, drive security training, and embed SecOps thinking in engineering teams.
• Communicate risk to executive stakeholders through metrics and risk narratives.
