Job summary

BCLP in London is seeking a Business Acceptance Counsel to join our Office of the General Counsel. You will provide legal and risk advice to OGCM, BAT and senior leaders on client acceptance.

The role focuses on financial crime, AML, sanctions, due diligence and conflicts of interest, helping to develop risk-based policies and support regulatory reporting and audits. You will engage with global offices and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• UK qualified solicitor with right to practise.
• Strong experience handling financial crime, AML, sanctions, reputational risk.
• Experience advising on conflicts of interest and information barriers.

Responsibilities

• Advise BAT and OGCM on complex business acceptance issues with a focus on financial crime and AML.
• Coordinate global client and matter acceptance processes with stakeholders.
• Support MLRO-related activities and sanctions reporting where needed.
• Develop and improve global risk-based compliance policies and governance.
