Job summary

Pitch Black Creative seeks a Global Head of Resource Management to spearhead capacity planning across our studios, aligning demand with talent and production needs. You will lead Brand Resource Managers and own the consolidated view of capacity, guiding practical allocations that balance skills, cost and workloads.

You will drive cross-studio collaboration, improve utilization and partner with Finance to assess deployment costs and commercial impact.

Qualifications

• Experience leading resource, capacity or workforce planning in VFX across multiple studios.
• Proven success improving utilization and coordinating talent sharing across teams or studios.
• Experience managing resource managers or an equivalent planning team.
• Strong understanding of VFX production schedules, discipline requirements and cross-studio dependencies.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, data modeling and scenario planning.
• Strong working knowledge of ShotGrid and production tracking workflows.
• Sound commercial judgment, with the ability to balance cost, capacity, skills and delivery commitments.
• Clear communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and resolve competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead global capacity planning and consolidate demand, capacity and utilization across Pitch Black group.
• Model staffing scenarios and identify upcoming gaps, capacity and delivery risks.
• Translate forecasts into timely recommendations for redeployment, recruitment, contract extensions and external support.
• Lead workforce planning calls with local leadership teams and match capacity with production needs.
• Set cross-studio allocation priorities with Production and guide Brand Resource Managers through implementation.
• Work with Production, Technology and People & Culture to resolve barriers to sharing resources.
