Job summary

CNA Hardy in London is seeking a Reinsurance Director to shape and deliver strategy across CNA Hardy and the International segment. You will lead programme design, placements and key partnerships with brokers and reinsurers.

You will deputise for the AVP Reinsurance as required and drive systems, data and process improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective cost management.

Qualifications

• Outward reinsurance expertise within general insurance.
• Strategic and commercial judgement to develop plans and budgets.
• Senior-level leadership with degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and board-ready communication.
• Strong numeracy and Excel skills with placement leadership.

Responsibilities

• Shape reinsurance strategy for CNA Hardy and International segment.
• Design and deliver reinsurance placements to optimise structure and spend.
• Build and manage broker and reinsurer partnerships across CNA’s international operations.
• Oversee reinsurance systems, data, processes and technology improvements.
• Deputise for the AVP Reinsurance and lead a high-performing placement team.
