Job summary

Buro Happold in the Bath office is recruiting a Global Process Lead (Record to Report) to design and embed a global R2R operating model. You will lead end-to-end R2R process documentation, governance, and continuous improvement across regions, supported by the Finance Shared Services team.

Hybrid working, significant exposure to ERP and finance systems, and collaboration with Finance, IT and Digital teams to enable scalable, automated processes and strong controls.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Record to Report, Finance Operations, Financial Control, Shared Services or Global Business Services environments.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, GL accounting, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets and financial controls.
• Experience designing, documenting and improving finance processes.
• Track record of delivering process standardisation and transformation initiatives.
• Experience working within multinational or complex global organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across teams and regions.
• Collaborative and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document current-state R2R processes across multiple regions.
• Identify process variation, inefficiencies, risks and control gaps.
• Develop standardised global process documentation and operating standards.
• Drive process harmonisation and removal of non-value-added activities.
• Support transition of appropriate R2R activities into a Finance Shared Services model.
• Define process governance, controls, KPIs and service level expectations.
• Work with stakeholders globally to improve adoption and consistency.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, workflow tools and process optimisation technologies.
• Partner with Finance, IT and Digital teams to support ERP and finance system developments.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Record to Report processes across the organisation.
