Job summary

Howden Compressors in Renfrew, Scotland, is seeking a Project Planner to develop and maintain integrated project schedules and resource plans across a portfolio of complex engineering projects. You will work with Project Managers, Engineers and Procurement specialists to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resources.

The role offers exposure to international project delivery, forecasting, risk management and continuous improvement within a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project scheduling, planning or project controls within a manufacturing, engineering or project-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining integrated project schedules and resource plans across a portfolio of package build projects.
• Create, maintain and improve project schedules from pre-contract through to completion.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to reflect scope, priorities and resources.
• Identify schedule risks, critical path activities and bottlenecks, and develop solutions to minimise impacts.
• Facilitate structured project review cycles with updates and changes captured.
• Consolidate schedules and resource plans to provide portfolio visibility.
• Produce project performance reports, KPIs, and EVM metrics for informed decisions.
• Monitor progress and support on-time delivery through forecasting and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce lead times and enhance execution.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, commercial and leadership teams.
• Support planning and delivery across Howden network including international collaboration.
• Promote safety, quality and operational excellence per Howden standards.
