Job summary

Howden, a Chart Industries company, seeks a Project Planner in Renfrew, Scotland, to manage integrated schedules and resource plans for high-value package build projects. You will partner with Project Managers and cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and commercial to ensure schedules reflect scope, priorities and capacity.

Qualifications

• Experience in project scheduling, planning or project controls within manufacturing/engineering
• Strong understanding of planning and scheduling principles
• Smartsheet experience desirable
• Identify and mitigate schedule/resource risks before impact
• Analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
• Experience driving process improvements across teams
• Proactive, customer-focused approach to high-quality outcomes
• Knowledge of EVM methodologies or related planning frameworks
• Experience using Power BI/Autodesk or related project controls tools
• Advanced Excel skills
• Awareness of contracts and delivery frameworks
• Knowledge of compressor packaging or similar engineered products

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules across a portfolio
• Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to reflect scope and priorities in schedules
• Identify risks, critical paths, resource constraints and bottlenecks; propose mitigations
• Facilitate structured project review cycles and capture changes
• Consolidate schedules to provide portfolio visibility
• Produce project performance reports, KPIs and EVM metrics
• Monitor progress with forecasting and risk management to aid on-time delivery
• Drive continuous improvements to reduce lead times and improve workflow
• Collaborate across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, commercial and leadership
• Support planning across the wider Howden network internationally
• Promote safety, quality and operational excellence in line with standards
