Job summary

Buro Happold in Bath is seeking a commercially minded Group Finance Business Partner to join our global finance team. You will partner with project leaders and regional finance teams to deliver insight, challenge and support throughout the project lifecycle.

This role offers hybrid working in Bath, exposure to high-value, complex projects across a wide portfolio, and a path to influence governance, project performance and consistency in financial practices within a leading engineering

Qualifications

• Qualified finance professional with project finance experience.
• Experience supporting complex projects in professional services, engineering or construction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to finance and non-finance audiences.
• Experience working across a matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, financial reporting and performance analysis for project teams.
• Delivering clear financial insights to enable informed decisions.
• Monitor project performance through variance analysis, cost tracking and cash flow management.
• Advise project teams on financial risks, opportunities and performance drivers.
• Reinforce financial governance and ensure policy compliance.
• Support project audits and revenue recognition reviews.
• Provide specialist finance support on complex projects across regions.
• Build relationships with project leaders and finance stakeholders globally.
• Drive consistency and best practice in project finance and reporting.
• Support implementation of finance systems, policies and continuous improvement.
