Job summary

Neuberger Berman is seeking an Associate General Counsel, ex-U.S. – Private Wealth in London to lead legal and regulatory work for non-U.S. retail clients.

The role requires strong writing, analytical skill and the ability to collaborate across global teams. You will advise on FCA, AIFMD, MiFID II, GDPR and other regulatory regimes and help structure compliant onboarding and product distribution for private clients worldwide. You will interface with U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on legal and regulatory issues for non-U.S. retail business.
• Advise on FCA rules, AIFMD, MiFID II, GDPR, MAS regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate with U.S. legal, compliance, and operations teams to implement updates.
• Coordinate with regional compliance teams to ensure local policies meet requirements.
• Oversee licensing, registration and permissioning for market entry/expansion.
• Draft and review advisory agreements and documentation for retail clients.
• Manage competing priorities and provide regulatory guidance to senior leaders.
• Review general commercial contracts, RFPs and marketing materials.
