Nexperia seeks an experienced Application Engineering Director to lead its global Power MOSFET Application Engineering organization, steering PDE and CAE teams in defining and delivering competitive products and top-tier customer support for Automotive and Industrial markets.

The role reports to Product Group leadership and collaborates with Marketing, R&D, Quality, Sales and Operations to drive roadmaps and execution, ensuring excellence in technical delivery, cost competitiveness, and customer

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or related technical discipline.
10+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
Several years of people leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Strong experience in Power MOSFETs, power semiconductors or related power electronics technologies.
Experience working with Automotive and/or Industrial customers.
Proven success leading cross-functional and international projects.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop and coach global teams of Product Definition Engineers and Customer Application Engineers.
Build a high-performing, customer-focused engineering organization with strong technical expertise and execution excellence.
Drive talent development, succession planning and organisational effectiveness.
Define engineering priorities, resource allocation and capability development.
Translate customer and market requirements into clear product specifications.
Drive technical product definition from concept through production release.
Ensure new products meet customer expectations for performance, quality, manufacturability and cost competitiveness.
Influence future technology roadmaps together with Product Management and R&D.
Lead technical customer engagement for strategic Automotive and Industrial customers.
Support design-in activities, customer escalations and complex technical problem solving.
Build strong relationships with key OEMs and Tier-1 customers.
Ensure fast and high-quality technical support throughout the customer lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Design Engineering, Quality, Operations and Sales.
Represent Application Engineering in business reviews, product planning and strategic customer discussions.
Drive continuous improvements in engineering processes, product definition methodology and customer support.
