Job summary

S&P Global Ratings is seeking a Global Business Partner to lead the People workstream for the 12-month integration of an acquisition. You will translate the integration strategy into a clear people plan, ensuring continuity, retention of critical talent, and smooth change management across functions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of global People experience in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with acquisition, merger, divestiture, or large-scale workforce integration activities.
  • Knowledge of organization design, employee transfer processes, reward harmonization, and talent retention strategies.
  • Strong programme management and ability to deliver multiple workstreams to milestones.
  • Advanced communication skills for executives, managers and employees.
  • Experience partnering across multiple jurisdictions with Legal and People teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional People workstreams in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to identify risks and drive resolution in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the end-to-end People integration plan with milestones, dependencies, decision points, and risk management.
  • Partner with integration leaders to translate business objectives into workforce, organization, and talent priorities.
  • Lead People due diligence follow-through and identify material risks and requirements.
  • Design future-state organization and workforce transition including cost implications and location considerations.
  • Coordinate employee transfer and onboarding with Employment Relations, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Assess compensation, benefits, terms, and policies; develop harmonization recommendations and transition arrangements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive People change and communications plans for leaders and employees.
  • Identify critical talent and retention risks; partner on retention strategies and succession planning.
  • Coach leaders through integration decisions and drive culture and ways of working integration.
  • Oversee high-risk employee relations and ensure core People processes are integrated (PM, development, recruitment, rewards, payroll).
  • Support data migration and reporting with privacy controls; establish governance and reporting.
