Global Payment Holding Company is seeking a Software Engineer - Java to join our WPG team. You will design and develop Java-based solutions for a high-capacity payments gateway, focusing on robustness and security to support over 800 transactions per second and 10 million payments daily.

Work with UK and US engineers, QA, and release teams in an agile environment, contributing to code quality, design patterns, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Secure, clean and testable Java-based distributed applications in a Linux development environment.
• Relational database concepts (Oracle) and architecture knowledge.
• Ability to prioritise and collaborate within a team under pressure.
• Experience with large codebases and version control systems.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop Java-based solutions for a high-capacity payments gateway.
• Collaborate with UK and US engineers and QA teams.
• Follow agile practices and contribute to code reviews and retrospectives.
• Contribute to the SDLC from design through release and operation.
• Maintain robust, secure and scalable payment platforms.
• Occasional release support outside normal office hours.
