Job summary

CooperVision is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead global packaging automation initiatives from Mount Park. The role requires extensive project management across cross‑functional teams, vendors and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on time, cost and quality targets.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in automated industries, deep knowledge of packaging operations, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience in packaging automation.
• Strong background in packaging automation, manufacturing processes, and distribution.
• Experience with FDA/medical packaging regulations and protocols.
• Deep understanding of packaging operations, production lines and equipment.
• Knowledge of contact lens industry preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in a relevant automated industry.

Responsibilities

• Appraise, specify, develop, commission and test production automation systems and equipment.
• Lead the selection of automated equipment, vendors and development of the best vendors to meet business requirements.
• Project Manager for global projects, to design, deliver and implement new technology projects that meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Conduct safety compliance assessments, validation programs and regulatory documentation.
• Leads Design Review Process and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for projects.
• Mentor the technical discipline, personal development and career progression of staff.
