Packaging Machinery Project Lead

Job summary

SourceCo, Hereford-based packaging machinery specialists, seeks a Project Engineer to own new machinery projects from specification through to installation and completion. You will manage around 10 live projects, coordinating customers, suppliers and internal teams across the UK and Europe.

The role requires proven project management experience within packaging machinery or related engineering, with frequent travel to customer sites and some European visits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' project management / project engineering experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish.
• Background in packaging machinery or related engineering environment.
• Experience with packaging equipment such as VFFS/HFFS, baggers, wrappers, fillers, cappers, bottling equipment or labeling.

Responsibilities

• Take full cradle-to-grave responsibility for multiple machinery projects.
• Review customer requirements and agree machine specifications.
• Visit customer sites to measure up and assess progress.
• Arrange and attend machine testing, validation and acceptance activities.
• Work with CAD and engineering teams on equipment layouts.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and third parties UK/Europe.
• Manage delivery, logistics and installation arrangements.
• Attend sites during installation, commissioning and completion.
• Provide regular progress updates and maintain project records.
• Support sales with meetings and presentations.
