Rentokil Initial Group in the United Kingdom is hiring a Network Engineer (EMEA & APAC) to maintain, optimize, and secure enterprise network infrastructure across regional data centers and branch offices. You will balance NetOps incident resolution with project delivery, including SD-WAN migrations and SASE rollouts.
The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco/Aruba gear, SD-WAN, cloud security, and ITIL-aligned processes.
The Network Engineer (EMEA & APAC) is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing enterprise network infrastructure across virtual regional data centers and physical branch offices. Operating within an ITIL-driven framework, this role balances Network Operations (NetOps) tier-2/3 incident resolution with Network Engineering project delivery, including SD-WAN migrations and Cloud Security rollouts.
Routing & Switching: Cisco Switches, Aruba Switching, VeloCloud SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF Network Security: Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cloudflare SASE / Zero Trust, IPsec VPN Wireless (WLAN): Aruba Wireless, Aerohive Access Points, Wi-Fi 6 Virtualization & SDN: VMware NSX (Microsegmentation), Ivanti Traffic Managers (ADC/Load Balancing) Core Network Services: DNS, DHCP, Proxy Servers, IPAM Core Competencies
Required Qualifications Demonstrated professional experience in a regional Network Operations (NetOps) or Network Engineering role. Strong working knowledge of enterprise IT governance, compliance, and ITIL frameworks. Preferred Certifications Networking: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ASCA). IT Service Management: ITIL® Foundation Certification in IT Service Management.
