Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Production Engineer to design, build, and operate our expansive backbone, data center, and edge networks. You will develop scalable solutions, automate deployments, and improve reliability across multi-vendor gear in a hybrid environment.

You will work closely with hardware, software, and sourcing teams, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor teammates while enabling AI and data workloads at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years designing, building, or operating scalable networks.
• Experience coding in at least one language (Python, C++, Go, Java, etc.).
• Knowledge of TCP, IPv4/IPv6, routing protocols, DHCP/DNS.
• Experience with multi-vendor device configurations (Juniper, Cisco, Arista, etc.).
• Experience with network devices, NMS, or related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Establish global best practices and design scalable network solutions.
• Build automation and tools for new product deployments and operations.
• Design solutions that scale across hardware platforms.
• Lead automation improvements for CI, tests, release, and config mgmt.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to innovate.
• Investigate complex issues across networks and tooling.
• Improve operational efficiency with automated workflows.
• Identify gaps, drive execution, and mentor peers.
• Participate in on-call rotation to improve production reliability.
