Job summary

White Recruitment is seeking an experienced Multimodal Freight Coordinator to join our Wolverhampton team. You will manage international shipments through air, sea and road freight, from booking to delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost control.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining high service levels and compliance with HMRC regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding operations across air, sea and road.
• Proven ability to manage international freight movements from booking to delivery.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple shipments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international air, ocean and road freight import/export shipments end-to-end.
• Manage customer bookings and ensure requirements are understood and executed.
• Arrange transport with airlines, shipping lines, hauliers and courier partners.
• Prepare and process freight documentation (Bills of Lading, CMR, packing lists, COs).
• Coordinate customs clearance with customs teams.
• Track shipments and provide regular progress updates.
• Obtain competitive freight rates and prepare quotations.
• Maximise shipment profitability through routing, consolidation and cost control.
• Ensure jobs are costed, invoiced and closed on time.
• Maintain shipment records using freight forwarding software.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and overseas partners.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC Customs regulations and Incoterms.
