This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality global mobility and tax solutions, while benefiting from a supportive management structure and collaborative network of specialists. You will be empowered to make a real difference for clients navigating complex cross-border challenges, all within an organisation renowned for its commitment to professional development and flexible working opportunities. If you are looking for a role where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work has genuine impact, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

  • Join a respected consultancy with a proven track record in global mobility services, offering you the chance to work on impactful projects that shape the financial services sector.
  • Benefit from a forward-thinking and supportive working environment, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are at the heart of everything they do.
  • Enjoy access to ongoing training opportunities and the chance to develop your skills alongside experienced professionals dedicated to your success.

What you'll do:

As a Global Mobility Services Tax Manager based in London, you will play an integral part in guiding clients through the complexities of international assignments and tax compliance. Your days will be filled with meaningful interactions—whether coordinating multi-jurisdictional projects or providing expert guidance on evolving regulatory landscapes. You will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients by offering thoughtful advice on cross-border matters while collaborating closely with internal specialists across various disciplines. Your ability to manage both people and processes will ensure that every engagement runs smoothly from start to finish. By mentoring junior colleagues and supporting senior leaders on VIP assignments, you will contribute directly to the team's collective success. This role offers you the platform to showcase your expertise while making a tangible difference for organisations navigating global mobility challenges.

  • Oversee the day-to-day coordination of global client engagements or UK service delivery, ensuring seamless operations with the support of a junior engagement team.
  • Manage UK tax compliance processes and collaborate closely with the Centre of Excellence to deliver comprehensive assignee compliance solutions.
  • Participate actively in all aspects of cross-border advisory work, including tax, social security, process optimisation, policy development, and project management for client assignments.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts across International Social Security, Employment Tax, GMS Technology, Reward, Immigration, and international member firms to deliver multidisciplinary projects.
  • Provide detailed UK tax technical analysis and tailored advice to clients facing complex mobility challenges.
  • Engage regularly with clients to discuss current developments in global mobility and UK tax regulations, ensuring they remain informed and compliant.
  • Support Engagement Leaders by delivering VIP assignee services such as arrival and departure briefings for senior executives relocating internationally.
  • Develop, nurture, and lead strong client relationships through consistent communication and dependable service delivery.
  • Take responsibility for managing engagement finances efficiently with assistance from junior staff members.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth within a collaborative environment.

What you bring:

To excel as a Global Mobility Services Tax Manager, you will bring substantial experience in managing complex client portfolios within the realm of international assignment services or expatriate taxation. Your background should reflect not only technical expertise but also an empathetic approach towards understanding client needs. The ideal candidate thrives when working collaboratively across teams—leveraging both interpersonal sensitivity and analytical acumen. Your ability to communicate clearly ensures that even intricate regulatory updates are conveyed effectively. A commitment to nurturing talent within your team will further enhance overall performance. Familiarity with digital tools such as Microsoft Office Suite—and ideally Power BI—will enable you to deliver insightful reports that inform strategic decisions. Above all else, your dedication to providing reliable guidance makes you an invaluable resource for both clients and colleagues.

  • Possession of ACA, ATT, CTA qualifications or equivalent credentials demonstrating your technical proficiency in tax matters.
  • Proven experience managing global mobility or expatriate tax engagements within financial services or professional services environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to build trust-based relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Excellent organisational abilities allowing you to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for effective reporting and presentation preparation.
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI for data analysis and reporting is advantageous but not essential for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated capability in coaching or mentoring junior staff members within a collaborative team setting.
  • A proactive approach towards staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes relevant to global mobility services.
