Position Overview:
Squarepoint is seeking a Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist to join our Human Resources team, working alongside the Global Move Manager, supporting internal employee relocations. The role reports to the Global Move Manager in the UK.
- Manage and track the movement of business visitors and assist the Tax team with end-of-year reporting.
- Support employees throughout the relocation process, from decision to move to their first day in the new location.
- Coordinate global employee movements, providing information and assistance to help them settle into the new location.
- Manage the immigration (visa/work permit) process by collaborating with third-party immigration law firms to ensure employees have the necessary visas and paperwork.
- Create visitor visa letters for employees.
- Review and approve relocation allowances, working with Payroll to ensure correct tax reporting.
- Monitor visa and work permit statuses, including expiration dates.
- Communicate and track relocation policies and allowances to ensure proper usage and payment.
- Partner with Payroll, HR Systems, and global HR teams to maintain system data accuracy through audits.
- Educate employees about new benefits related to relocation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years HR experience managing relocations/moves; Workday experience is a plus.
- Understanding of the mover lifecycle from start to finish.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
- Knowledge of regional immigration requirements, especially US and EMEA, and international relocation processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with all employee levels.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects.
- Flexibility, resilience, and ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and process management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
