Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience explicitly in mining equipment, machinery, and consumables for mines.
• Global sourcing experience for international clients across multiple regions (Africa, Middle East, Americas).
• Solid knowledge of Incoterms, international shipping docs, customs clearance, and global logistics.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and attention to detail when evaluating multi-line technical proposals.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and margin calculations.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and negotiating with global suppliers to secure competitive pricing, lead times, and quality for mining equipment and consumables.
• Review RFQs from clients to ensure commercial and technical compliance, producing clear, competitive proposals.
• Liaise with international mine operators, vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams to manage expectations and ensure order fulfillment.
• Execute purchase orders and supplier contracts; ensure accurate confirmations, compliance docs, and handover to expediting teams.
• Assess vendor performance based on capability, delivery reliability, and safety/industry standards.
