Job summary

Smithers MDT in Shawbury is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a scientific or engineering background to lead end-to-end client projects in medical device testing, from proposal through delivery.

The role requires at least four years in technical or project management, with a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Forensic Science or Mechanical Engineering preferred; equivalent industry experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• End-to-end management of client projects from proposal to delivery.
• Degree in a relevant discipline preferred (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Forensic Science or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of four years in a technical or project management role; experience in medical device testing or laboratory practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of client projects from proposal through delivery.
• Prepare quotes, manage scope changes and risks.
• Host programme management calls with clients and liaise with technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across UK and Europe; support improvements to internal systems.
