Job summary

Marlin Selection Recruitment is seeking an Operations Analyst to join a leading commodities derivatives and brokerage business in London.

The role offers exposure to OTC derivatives, FX and brokerage operations with a shift pattern based on US working times.

You will support trade recording, settlements, confirmations and client inquiries, contributing to process improvements across the operation.

Qualifications

• Around 2 years of experience within financial markets operations, ideally gained in commodities trading, FX or a brokerage environment.
• Methodical approach to work, with an understanding of operational controls, systems and process improvement.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational checks required to ensure trades are accurately recorded and authorised across multiple business areas.
• Monitor client positions through to settlement, managing the close-out or offsetting of relevant transactions where required.
• Act as a point of contact for client account queries, ensuring statements are delivered and any discrepancies are addressed promptly.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of trade confirmations, ensuring transaction details are accurate and complete.
• Coordinate broker give-up arrangements, managing the relevant set-up and approval processes via EGUS and FIA Tech.
• Ensure trades are correctly recorded and affirmed, including the administration of monthly payout arrangements.
