Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Global Category Manager in London to lead global category strategies with a focus on meetings and events. You will drive sourcing, negotiate contracts, and optimize value across regions, leveraging AI and analytics to benchmark costs and capture efficiency gains.

You will partner with business units, manage agency relationships, and support sustainable procurement while working in a hybrid model with two to three days in the office.

Qualifications

• A degree and background in strategic procurement, category mgmt or consulting with exposure to marketing/professional services.
• Solid grasp of sourcing, contract and pricing negotiation, savings calculation.
• Confidence using AI tools and advanced analytics for spend analysis and benchmarking.
• Ability to work with large datasets and build clear reports/dashboards with Excel/MS Office.
• Strong project management, analytical and presentation skills.
• Collaborative, influential style across regional/global stakeholders in a matrix.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ethical sourcing and delivery track record.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver global category strategies and sub-category responsibilities.
• Develop regional/local strategies aligned to global frameworks and policies.
• Support sourcing end-to-end: due diligence, RFPs, bid management and contract transition.
• Manage agency relationships and performance to maximize contract value.
• Use AI/analytics to benchmark costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Own savings reconciliation and ensure approvals through proper processes.
• Support supplier diversity, sustainability and risk mitigation; update policies.
