Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an Associate in the Securitized Products Group Market Risk to work with trading desks and global stakeholders. You will monitor risk exposures, analyze P&L drivers, and help shape risk decisions across a diverse portfolio.

You will build risk frameworks, perform scenario analyses, review large trades, and communicate findings to senior management and regulators, supporting a best-in-class risk culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand quantitative concepts relating to risk sensitivity, P&L, VaR and stress tests.
• Good understanding of macroeconomic landscape and markets.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with trading and control functions.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Develop innovative solutions and make clear recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of Python or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Build an enhanced risk monitoring framework to monitor and manage the expanding business footprint globally, focusing on Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
• Develop understanding of products traded and their key risks.
• Provide innovative risk mitigation solutions and enhance transparency of strategies and positions.
• Understand drivers of risk and P&L, monitor market movements, highlight top risks and discuss changes.
• Perform regular risk and scenario analyses and communicate findings.
• Review and approve large and complex transactions with appropriate controls.
• Prepare reports for weekly risk meetings with the desk and provide commentary.
• Collaborate with quantitative research, technology, middle office, and risk reporting teams to ensure accurate risk capture.
