Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London seeks an Associate for the Securitized Products Group Market Risk team to partner with trading desks, perform portfolio analysis, and advise on risk and return decisions.

You will monitor exposures, understand drivers of risk and P&L, and support transparency for senior management and regulators. You will interact with quantitative research, technology, middle office, and risk reporting teams to ensure accurate risk capture and due diligence.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand quantitative risk concepts such as VaR and stress scenarios.
• Strong knowledge of macroeconomic landscape and financial markets.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with trading and control functions.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Ability to develop innovative risk solutions and make recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build an enhanced risk monitoring framework for Securitized Products globally.
• Develop an understanding of products traded and their key risks.
• Provide innovative risk solutions and raise issues to the trading business.
• Understand drivers of risk and P&L, monitor market movements.
• Perform regular risk and scenario analyses on risk themes.
• Review and approve large and complex transactions with appropriate controls.
• Prepare reports for weekly risk meetings with the desk.
• Collaborate with quantitative research, technology, middle office, and risk reporting teams.
