Job summary

Marine Resources is seeking a Field Service Engineer / Technician to join a marine technology business serving commercial, defence and luxury yacht sectors. The role involves on-site installation, commissioning, servicing and repair of complex marine systems, plus remote technical support from the UK office.

You will work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control systems, diagnosing faults with a practical, hands-on approach and communicating effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience assembling, servicing, commissioning or troubleshooting machinery or technical systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation, commissioning, servicing and repair support to vessels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control system issues.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics and service documentation.
• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues when in the office or on-site.
• Complete service reports, timesheets and associated documentation accurately.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
• Work independently while managing deadlines and priorities.
• Travel to customer vessels across the UK and internationally as required.
