Job summary

Belfast-based Transport Coordinator role with Barker Ross. 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, permanent. Salary £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience, with duties spanning KPI preparation, DG documentation, and UK import coordination.

Role requires familiarity with exports, customs procedures, and Azyra freight system, plus a driving license and strong customer service. On-site position with opportunities to develop in a global logistics environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 months experience in groupage shipping transport.
Experience with Dangerous Goods documentation is a plus.
Knowledge of exports and customs procedures is beneficial.
Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Good computer literacy.
Proactive and customer-focused.
Strong teamwork and planning skills.
Full clean driving license required.

Responsibilities

Prepare KPI reports.
Scan Proof of Delivery.
Prepare export documents and DGNs for forwarding to shipping lines.
Plan and control UK import activities using the Azyra freight system.
Maintain costed and invoiced files for exports, deliveries or releases.
Provide transport companies with information to meet collection/delivery requirements.
Develop relationships with key customers and understand their shipping needs.
Identify and escalate issues affecting deadlines to the manager.
Promote and maintain image, procedures and standards as set with management.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of logistics documentation.
Update internal systems to support movement of goods.
Perform ad hoc duties as requested by manager.
