Job summary

Verda, headquartered in Helsinki with a London presence, is seeking a Logistics and Trade Compliance Specialist to manage cross-border hardware movements. You will classify shipments, document shipments, and ensure export controls are checked before dispatch.

You will coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, partner with Procurement and Hardware teams, and optimize freight routes and costs as we scale our data-center deployments across the EMEA region.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in international logistics and supply chain operations.
• Solid practical knowledge of customs and trade compliance: HS classification, origin, valuation, Incoterms, shipping documentation.
• Experience with sanctions and export controls, especially for high-performance computing hardware.
• Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders and/or 3PLs.
• Understanding of landed costs and evaluating shipping options on cost, lead time and risk.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound, outbound and intercompany shipments, including equipment deliveries and site transfers; resolve delays and damages.
• Prepare and check customs/shipping docs, including HS classification, origin, valuation and invoices; review broker submissions.
• Oversee export controls, licensing and shipment approvals.
• Track cost, lead times and performance with forwarders, brokers and 3PLs; flag issues and savings.
• Check Incoterms and delivery commitments with suppliers; manage landed costs and emergency freight.
