Job summary

Hogan Lovells Cadwalder – London office is seeking a Legal Engineer to join the IT – Legal Engineering team. You will develop and maintain coding solutions for legal documents and workflows, primarily using Contract Express, UiPath, C#, SQL and SharePoint Online.

You will provide first‑line support to lawyers and clients, work across languages including German and English, and have opportunities to trial new products while embracing hybrid work with office and home time.

Qualifications

• Solid legal background with a qualifying law degree or equivalent.
• Experience drafting, editing and formatting legal documents.
• Knowledge of Contract Express and basic programming concepts (C#, Python) preferred.
• Strong German and English language skills, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Code/automate legal documents using Contract Express.
• Develop bespoke coding solutions for legal projects and cases.
• Maintain and update automations and existing documents.
• Provide user training and induction sessions; assist with testing new features.
