Job summary

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader seeks a Legal Engineer to support the IT – Legal Engineering team in London or Paris. You will code and automate legal documents, build bespoke solutions, and provide first‑line support to lawyers and clients while expanding exposure to various legal technologies.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, train users, and help maintain workflows and automations across languages. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Solid legal background with a law degree or equivalent.
• Experience drafting, editing, updating and formatting legal documents.
• Strong English and German language skills are essential; additional languages valued.

Responsibilities

• Code and automate legal documents using Contract Express with multilingual support.
• Develop bespoke coding solutions for legal projects and cases.
• Maintain and update coding within documents and automations; provide user training.
• Support lawyers and clients; test new software features and upgrades.
• Coordinate with legal subject matter experts and manage client sites as needed.
