Job summary

Edbury Daley is assisting a leading global consultancy in recruiting for an experienced IT procurement professional to deliver client-focused transformation and sourcing programs. You will own and lead workstreams, engage senior stakeholders and apply deep category expertise to drive measurable outcomes across IT software, services and cloud domains.

The role is hands-on and client-facing, requiring delivery across geographies with a flexible mix of client-site, office and home-based work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience within IT procurement, strategic sourcing or category management.
• Strong experience operating across global IT procurement categories.
• Deep subject-matter expertise in Enterprise Software, IT Services and/or Cloud & Hosting.
• Experience managing or influencing significant technology spend portfolios, ideally in excess of $50m annually.
• Previous consulting experience, or experience working closely with consulting organisations, would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams across global client engagements.
• Develop and execute IT procurement and category strategies.
• Lead complex sourcing and commercial initiatives from opportunity identification through to implementation.
• Conduct supplier research, market analysis and commercial assessments.
• Build robust fact bases and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve value, supplier performance and commercial outcomes.
• Track benefits and ensure delivery remains aligned with milestones and objectives.
• Work closely with client stakeholders to understand requirements, challenge thinking and align priorities.
• Lead and contribute to workshops, working sessions and senior stakeholder discussions.
• Communicate recommendations and commercial insights clearly to client and internal teams.
• Support the development of high-performing teams and growth of the wider practice.
