Job summary

Markel’s Marine Division seeks an experienced Hull and War underwriter to support and develop the London Market role. You will coordinate with the hull team, actuaries, and brokers to implement underwriting plans, manage risks, and drive improvements across data systems.

You’ll travel for meetings, apply guidelines, and contribute to portfolio management while working within one of Markel’s leading global specialty insurers.

Qualifications

• Detailed understanding of hull and war insurance markets.

• Work with class head and hull team to implement underwriting strategy.
• Champion continuous improvements for end-to-end processes, data, and data warehouse.
