Job summary

DeterTech is seeking an HR Consultant to standardise and modernise HR policies, employment contracts and supporting documents across the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. You will work with the Director of People & Culture and external counsel to ensure clear, compliant templates and communications.

The role is hybrid, based at Prestwick, Scotland or Telford, England, with occasional travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• Proven HR generalist with hands-on policy and contract experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law with exposure to other jurisdictions.
• Experience managing policy or contract update programs at scale.
• Excellent written English, able to translate legal requirements into clear documents.
• Detail-oriented with governance and version control experience.
• CIPD qualification or legal/employment law background.
• Experience in multi-country or matrix organisations.
• Familiarity with works council processes in Germany, the Netherlands or Denmark.
• Experience creating employee-facing content.

Responsibilities

• Audit HR policies across six countries against legislation and company values.
• Rewrite and refresh policies for clarity and consistency.
• Review and update employment contract templates for all six countries.
• Coordinate sign-off with external employment lawyers.
• Roll out updated policies with timelines and communications.
