Job summary

Investigo is seeking a Global Category Manager to lead strategic procurement for HR, Professional Services and People Services. You will manage a £100m+ annual spend, develop global category strategies, and govern supplier performance across regions including London and Leeds.

The role requires extensive experience in HR/professional services procurement, senior stakeholder engagement, and MCIPS or equivalent accreditation, with a focus on value creation and risk management.

Qualifications

• Extensive procurement/category management experience within HR, Professional Services or Indirect Procurement environments.
• Demonstrated management of complex global spend portfolios exceeding £100m annually.
• Proven record of delivering significant cost savings and commercial value.
• Strong experience leading strategic sourcing and complex supplier negotiations.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior executives including CHRO, CFO and business leadership teams.
• MCIPS qualification or equivalent procurement accreditation.
• Knowledge of contingent workforce, talent acquisition and HR technology markets.

Responsibilities

• Category Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement global category strategies aligned to organisational objectives and workforce priorities.
• Strategic Sourcing & Contracting: Lead complex global sourcing events, RFPs, negotiations and supplier selections.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Establish executive-level relationships with key strategic suppliers and drive performance.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with senior HR leaders and executives to understand workforce requirements and act as trusted procurement advisor.
• Risk, Governance & Compliance: Ensure governance, regulatory compliance and data protection.
