Justworks seeks a Global Director of HR Operations to lead strategy, governance, and scalable HR frameworks across international markets. You will guide a distributed team, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Product, Legal, and Engineering to deliver compliant HR services globally.

You will drive innovation with AI and automation, elevate employee and customer experiences, and own complex risk mitigation across regions. A people-first leadership style is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience with global scope.
• Experience designing HR operations at scale including compliance, payroll, benefits.
• Proven ability to lead senior managers across distributed teams.
• Strong collaboration with Product and Engineering to operationalize HR/EOR products.
• Deep knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance in HR.

Responsibilities

• Set the global vision, strategy, and operating model for HR Operations across the full employee and customer lifecycle.
• Lead and develop a globally distributed team of regional HR Operations leaders and specialists.
• Own global HR compliance strategy, ensuring adherence to local labor laws, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance to shape HR-related product strategy and readiness.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to develop HR tooling and education for internal and external customers.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex, high-risk employee relations, compliance, and customer issues.
• Design and implement global standards, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
• Champion continuous improvement through data, feedback, and operational insights.
