Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Global Head of Training to own strategy, standards, and the operating model for training on-road operators across regions. You will define scalable curricula, certification pathways, and rapid updates driven by data.

You’ll lead a small global team, translating a single global standard into regional practice and ensuring operators meet safety thresholds before deployment. Partner with Operations, Product, and Safety to align outcomes with business needs.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in training, capability development, operations enablement, or workforce readiness, ideally within safety‑critical environments.
• Proven ability to build and lead structured training programmes across multiple sites, regions, or countries.
• Demonstrated success designing scalable onboarding, certification, and recurrent training frameworks for operational roles.
• Experience translating requirements into practical training content, standards, and readiness criteria.
• Strong track record using performance data and operational insight to improve behavior and execution quality.
• Experience partnering with Operations, Product, Safety and other senior stakeholders to align training with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own global training strategy, standards, and operating model across all geographies.
• Define scalable curricula, onboarding pathways, and certification frameworks for on‑road and maintenance roles.
• Ensure operators meet performance and safety thresholds before live deployments.
• Build mechanisms to convert product requirements and operational insights into rapid training updates.
• Own metrics and reporting to prove training effectiveness and readiness; prioritise interventions.
• Lead Regional Training Leads and Coordinators, ensuring global standards with local adaptation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align training outcomes with business needs.
• Maintain certification and compliance records globally with audit readiness.
