Job summary

Wayve, based in London, is seeking a Director of Fleet Operations Execution to own the health, performance, and on-road risk posture of Fleet Ops globally. You will lead a matrix of regional Heads of Fleet Ops across UK, US, Germany and Japan, ensuring consistency with a single global standard while respecting regional nuance.

You will set and enforce standards, KPIs, and incident response for high-severity events, balancing safety with operational and commercial goals.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience managing global, multi-site teams of 100+ through a layer of leaders.
• Experience operating in technical development cycles with engineering partners.
• Sound, decisive judgment in safety-critical, high-stakes situations.
• Track record setting and enforcing KPIs and performance standards across leaders.
• Strong cross-functional influence without formal authority.
• Experience owning incident response and risk management for high-severity events.
• Willing to relocate to London and be in-person most of the time with travel.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop a team of teams across global regions.
• Serve as the authoritative decision-maker on on-road risk and safety.
• Own incident response execution for high-severity events globally.
• Balance safety, operational requirements, and commercial objectives.
• Drive global operational consistency through clear KPIs and metrics.
• Partner with Safety and Technical Operations to test features and milestones.
• Surface risks and gaps across regions and programs for course-correction.
• Maintain a single global standard while managing regional nuance.
