Job summary

Alfred H Knight is seeking an IT Head of Technology to join our global team, on-site at our headquarters in Prescot, Merseyside. This pivotal leadership role sits at the core of our Group IT function, driving modernisation and operational excellence across six pillars.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, partner with executive stakeholders, and shape strategy, governance, delivery, and cost management in a fast-growing, family-owned business.

Qualifications

• Senior technology leadership experience across software engineering, infrastructure and delivery.
• Breadth across enterprise architecture, cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP) and data.
• Familiarity with DevOps, automation, security-by-design, and AI-assisted engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technology leadership and governance across six pillars.
• Direct enterprise-wide technology deliveries and major COTS/ERP implementations.
• Lead global infrastructure management, including cloud, network and DR planning.
• Drive BI analytics and data governance to deliver a single source of truth.
