Job summary

QinetiQ seeks a Group Head of Quality to develop and deliver a quality improvement plan across the organisation, partnering with Project Management, Engineering and Operations to drive efficiency and robust measures.

You will lead the establishment of quality standards, promote a right first-time culture, and ensure compliance with ISO and aviation standards, while mentoring staff and reporting on KPIs to executives.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' leadership experience in a technical quality environment.
• Experience across multi-domain environments (aviation, ordnance, munitions, high energy systems).
• Aligned technical qualifications (MCQI, IIA) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the strategy for quality across QinetiQ, across businesses and geographies.
• Lead quality support to bids and projects to ensure plans meet contracted expectations.
• Oversee ISO 9001, TickIT Plus, aviation standards (EASA pt 21J/pt 21G), BS EN 9100.
• Drive quality methodologies to realise improvements via Lean/Six Sigma.
• Mentor quality staff and report KPIs to senior leadership.
