Job summary

Colt Data Centre Services seeks a Head of Mechanical Engineering to lead the Global Design & Engineering Team. Drive standardized design and reliability across a growing portfolio of data centres, guiding internal and external stakeholders to comply with the Global Reference Design.

You will manage documentation, drive ESG alignment, and push for cost-effective, innovative cooling solutions aligned with corporate targets. This is a global, senior leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Chartered or professional registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive standards, consistency and continuous improvement of mechanical systems across data centres.
• Provide support to Development, Design Management, Project Management, Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Develop and maintain global technical documentation (design guides, standards, specifications).
• Evaluate OFCI equipment offerings with commercial and technical perspectives.
• Track new technologies and lead targeted R&D activities for GRD and OFCI integration.
