Global Head of Compliance (Advisory), England

Our client, a global leader in their field, is seeking a Head of Compliance to join their team on a permanent basis.

The organization is at an exciting growth phase, and they are looking for a lawyer with a compliance background to support their journey.

The role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer, and the successful candidate will work in partnership with them to build best-in-class compliance teams both in the UK and internationally.

The responsibilities include:

1. Working closely with the business to ensure activities comply with policies, laws, and regulations.
2. Providing strategic oversight, interpreting regulations, and engaging stakeholders to anticipate risks and inform decision-making.
3. Leading and developing compliance programs such as policy development, third-party due diligence, and sanctions programs.
4. Managing global and strategic projects to enhance compliance with laws and regulations.
5. Designing controls and mitigation strategies.
6. Assisting in designing new initiatives to ensure compliance.
7. Implementing compliance policies and training programs internationally.
8. Serving as the deputy to the Global Head of Operations, with potential to lead a team.
9. Engaging with senior stakeholders with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.

Qualifications include:

• Extensive experience in compliance roles, particularly in sanctions and third-party due diligence.
• Experience in a global leadership role.
• Proven ability to develop compliance programs.
• Excellent project management skills, capable of leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
