Job summary

Modo Energy in London is recruiting a Global Gas Analyst to build an entirely new gas analytics function and become its public face. You’ll design the process, develop models, data, and forecasts that show how gas moves and what it means for client portfolios.

You’ll work autonomously, own output, and enjoy the visibility that comes with shaping a critical part of our global analytics. This role is based in London and reports to the Director of European Product, with a global remit across

Qualifications

• 3–4 years' experience in gas analytics at a major commodities house or gas trading desk.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently from day one.
• Strong academic record or notable achievement showing commitment.
• Experience with data analytics and coding (Python); knowledge of databases.

Responsibilities

• Build gas analytics capability from the ground up with long-term forecasts to 2050–2060.
• Publish research with measurable engagement from clients.
• Present insights to clients and explain market implications.
• Integrate gas view into broader regional power and storage models.
