Job summary

Modo Energy is hiring a Global Gas Analyst to create a new gas analytics function and to become its public face. The role focuses on building models, data, forecasts, and research to show how gas moves and affects portfolios. Based in London, reporting to the Director of European Product, with ownership and autonomy in a global context.

This is a rare chance to shape gas analytics within a category-defining energy data platform, with hybrid work arrangements and strong client-facing visibility.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years' experience in gas analytics at a major commodities house or gas desk.
• Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with ability to work independently.
• Strong track record or notable achievement in a relevant field.
• Working knowledge of data analytics and coding (Python, databases).
• Ability to explain complex gas market concepts to clients.

Responsibilities

• Build gas analytics capability from scratch and extend forecasts to 2050–2060.
• Publish research and ensure models are read by our audience.
• Present findings to clients and discuss implications for portfolios.
• Integrate gas insights into regional power and storage models.
