Azenta UK, Ltd. seeks a Global Freight Procurement & RFQ Lead in Wotton, Surrey for a six-month contract. You will diagnose global freight spend, supplier options and terms, and drive a robust RFQ/RFP process across carriers, parcel providers and freight forwarders.

You will collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Finance and regional teams to deliver a clear recommended global freight strategy and implementation pathway.

Formación

• Experience in freight procurement and carrier management.
• Proven ability to run RFQ/RFP processes and supplier evaluation.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with cost-structure literacy.

Responsabilidades

• Map current freight activity, lanes, volumes and operating requirements.
• Analyze freight spend to identify savings and inefficiencies.
• Evaluate performance against cost, delivery reliability and service.
• Benchmark pricing, surcharges and terms vs external market.
• Develop RFQ/RFP strategy, data pack and scoring criteria.
• Lead supplier Q&A, bid clarifications and final evaluations.
• Create a business case showing cost savings and benefits.
• Provide transition roadmap and governance considerations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for alignment.
