Job summary

Bottomline Technologies is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to join our General Ledger Accounting team, taking ownership of month-end close for our Swiss entity in Geneva and supporting accounting activities across the broader EMEA region.

You will manage GL close, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure strong controls while collaborating with FP&A, tax, and other finance teams in a fast-paced international environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in financial accounting and multi-entity close.
• Experience with month-end close and P&L/balance sheet reconciliations.
• Audits: support statutory audits.
• Intercompany accounting and cash/treasury exposure.
• Excellent communication and business partnering.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of general ledger accounting and month-end close for the Swiss entity, and support other EMEA entities.
• Prepare and review accounting entries including accruals, prepayments, payroll, expenses, accounts payable and other month-end adjustments.
• Perform P&L reviews and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate movements and ensure accuracy.
• Manage capitalization of internally generated assets and fixed assets accounting.
• Support annual statutory audit with auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Assist monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and deliver accurate reporting.
