Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with an international, privately owned product-based business to recruit a Finance Director for its EMEA and APAC operations. This leadership role shapes the finance function and partners with senior stakeholders across commercial, operational and executive teams.

The role spans UK, Asia-Pacific and Middle East, with an ERP implementation underway and a strong emphasis on modernising processes, automation and AI-enabled finance tools.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience at Financial Controller/Finance Director level.
• Experience in manufacturing/product-based environments is advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting and controllership background with a commercial mindset.
• Hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic, low-bureaucracy setting.
• Proven experience leading teams and developing people through coaching and empowerment.
• Exposure to acquisitions, business transformation, ERP implementations and process improvements.
• Collaborative with strong communication across finance, commercial and operational teams.
• Curious and forward-thinking with interest in leveraging technology/AI to improve finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational finance leadership across EMEA and APAC.
• Develop and lead UK-based finance team; drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with commercial/operational stakeholders; deliver meaningful financial insight and challenge.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, working capital management and performance analysis across entities.
• Support due diligence, integration and post-acquisition financial management.
• Lead ERP transformation initiatives; drive process redesign and automation, including AI tools.
• Oversee controls, statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit across jurisdictions.
• Foster relationships with international colleagues; occasional overseas travel.
