HyImpulse Technologies in Glasgow, United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Finance Controller to take over from an external provider and establish robust in-house processes, including month-end and year-end closings.

You will manage UK VAT, assist with statutory accounts under FRS 102, and coordinate with external accountants, auditors and payroll. The role includes group reporting to the German parent, intercompany reconciliations and ERP-related implementation support.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as Financial Controller/Finance Manager within a subsidiary of an international group.
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting and product costing.
• Experience running month-end and year-end close under FRS 102.
• Hands-on knowledge of UK VAT including import VAT.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with ERP systems.
• Able to work in a small team, both strategically and hands-on.
• Excellent communication skills to explain financial matters to non-finance colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Take over accounting from external provider and build in-house processes, including month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 102 and manage VAT returns, coordinating with external accountants, auditors, payroll and tax advisers.
• Deliver monthly group reporting to the German parent company, mapping UK GAAP to German GAAP (HGB) and handling intercompany reconciliations.
