Job summary

Coyne & Associates Limited in Bristol is seeking a Financial Controller to strengthen financial control and reporting as the business grows internationally. You will work closely with the CFO to provide accurate numbers and commercial insight to senior leaders across functions.

This role requires a qualified accountant with IFRS expertise, the ability to lead a finance team, develop processes, and deliver timely statutory accounts, consolidation and audit coordination to support ambitious growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with IFRS and group reporting experience.
• Experience preparing or auditing group financial statements.
• Ability to translate complex accounting matters into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Structured approach with flexibility as priorities change.
• Comfort working with senior leaders and challenging assumptions.
• Experience developing others and leading teams.
• Curiosity and initiative to progress when answers are unclear.

Responsibilities

• Lead group consolidation and reporting with timely, insightful information.
• Strengthen financial controls and policies across international operations.
• Provide technical accounting leadership for complex transactions.
• Lead statutory accounts preparation and external audit coordination.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to improve reporting.
• Develop and coach the finance team to higher performance.
• Support the CFO in anticipating reporting and governance needs as growth continues.
